cPanel/WHM Roundcube and Horde are running very slow. Problem Solving
I’ve tried to optimize my cPanel/WHM server. And changes a few configurations in different sections.
Suddenly my client Knock me, for slow email service in his office. Only the Roundcube and Horde are slow. More than 800 People used emails on that company.
I’ve checked the service goes very slow. But more the 60% CPU process is free out of 8-Core, More the 80 RAM is free out of 32 GB of RAM. But login is very slow (150+ seconds). Page loading is very slow (150+ seconds). But Outlook was okay. I was just confused. I’m tried to remember what changes happen today.
I’ve changed — — —
- FTP Configuration
- Some Exim Configuration
- Some Apache Configuration
- Resolve Some Backup Issues
- Activated the PHP-FPM
- Changes some option in Service Manager
- Changes Some SSL issues.
I was quite sure FTP, SSL, Backup configuration was not taking effect on mail service. I was highly Doubt Exim Configuration. And try to find out the problem with this key point. But nothing progress…
I’m checking randomly, and try to find out, if the outlook was okay then it may not the Exim issue. I was trying to analyze the console on the browser. Analyze the networking on the browse. The TTFB was too high (150+ seconds)
Then I’ve realized that the Roundcube and Horde were running slow. And these two applications runes on the apache server. And recently I’ve activated the PHP service on Service Manager
I have restored the previous configuration by disabling the PHP-FPM service for cPanel Daemons and my problem was resolved. Then Roundcube and Horde run smoothly.
